Debbie & Friends are getting ready for an exciting full-band show at TCAN in Natick on November 27th at 3pm.

Debbie & Friends has been one of our favorite bands for a while now, ever since we saw them play a free show at the Watertown Library a couple of years ago. Their songs are upbeat and positive and great for young kids and toddlers. They sing about stories we all know, like Jack and the Beanstalk or Little Red Riding Hood, which gives you the opportunity for some follow-up family story time after listening to them sing, which can be a great literacy booster for young kids.

Their first CD, Story Songs and Sing Alongs, is a must-hear, and their newest CD, More Story Songs & Sing Alongs, is one of our favorites!

Have you heard Elizabeth Mitchell’s new CD, Sunny Day? It’s a fresh collection of traditional folk songs from around the world, all rendered in Elizabeth’s sweet and mellow style.

This CD is great for calm-down time (we like to listen to it after school). Since so many of these songs are traditional rhymes, they’re easy to follow and easy to sing along to, even when sung in a different language. It’s a really nice way to expose your child to other traditions and cultures.

Elizabeth Mitchell will be coming to town on November 14th to play at Club Passim at 4:30pm. Of course she’s already sold out the club!
