Amber & Ivan posing with Scott Kepnes after the show.

We headed out to the Regent Theatre in Arlington today to see Scott Kepnes in concert. This was our first time seeing Scott and we had a great time.
Scott brought along his kids for their debut performances, his son playing drums and his daughter playing saxophone. They made a wonderful band plus it’s always so nice for kids to see other kids playing instruments; it reminds them that music is accessible to everyone.
Scott was also joined by Rebecca Kotlicky, The Pajama Queen of Children’s Theater, who danced and sang along with Scott’s upbeat music. She was silly and adorable, like a cheerleader in pajamas!

Scott’s music is funky, a bit of rock-and-roll, that appeals to both parents and kids. His real talent is in getting the audience clapping, jumping, dancing, and singing along. All of his songs have parts for the audience to sing and Ivan had a great time listening and participating.
Visit Scott’s website, www.scottkepnes.com, to find out where he’ll be playing next or check out our Calendar of Events. Scott often plays at local libraries in Mattapan, Billerica, and Allston (among other places), so if you get a chance, get on out to a show!
