What’s Happening this Weekend? March 13th and 14th

For those of us interested in local children’s music, there will be a really cool conference this weekend at Leslie University hosted by the Children’s Music Network.

The “Power of Music in Children’s Lives” conference will be held all day on Saturday from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Of course, if you’re just looking for a simple music event to take your kids to, there’s lots of that going on too:

  • Debbie & Friends have two shows this weekend, one at the Newton Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 10:30 and one at Ahavath Torah in Stoughton on Sunday at 3pm. Check it out and see if you can get your hands their new CD!
  • Hugh Hanley will be playing his interactive kids’ music show at the Regent Theatre in Arlington at 10:30 on Saturday.
  • Cheryl Melody will be performing a free show at the Watertown library at 11am on Saturday.
  • There’s also going to be a fun Passover Program (with music) at the Arlington Heights Nursery School on Sunday at 10am.
  • Gustafer Yellowgold will be playing another Massachusetts show on Sunday at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton at 2pm. We were very, very excited about their show last weekend in Cambridge. It was awesome! If you have the chance to see the show this Sunday, don’t miss it!!!
  • Ben Rudnick & Friends will be playing Congregation Shalom in North Chelmsford on Sunday at 4pm.
  • And don’t forget about jeanniemack and Jeremy Lyons playing their regular weekend shows, too.

Have a great weekend and, if you’re off to see Gustafer, keep it yellow!
