What’s Happening this Weekend? October 17 & 18

by Amber on October 16, 2009

Kids playing.

Is it just me or is it WAY too cold to be October? Our outdoor plans have been canceled. Let’s find some warm indoor things to do…

The Flannery Brothers won’t be playing at Coolidge Corner this weekend, but Scott Kepnes will be filling in for them on Saturday at 10:30 am. We’ve seen Scott at the Regent Theatre and he’s a great performer. He’s full of energy and really quite good at getting kids (and parents) to get out of their seats and join the fun. Scott’s show is going to be preceded by two short films, 7 Days of the Week and Bridge Over the River Zzeee.

At 11am on Saturday Brady Rymer will be putting on what’s sure to be a fantastic show at TCAN in Natick. We haven’t actually had the chance to see Brady play in person yet, but I’ve heard from some very good sources (such as Debbie Cavalier from Debbie and Friends) that he’s not to be missed.

jeanniemack will be playing her delightful brand of kids’ music for infants and toddlers at Finagle-a-Bagel in Cambridge at 11am on Saturday (and Saturday looks like it may be a great day for a toasted bagel and warm coffee) and Ed Morgan will be playing a free show at the Watertown library at 11am on Saturday, too.

Now, what are we going to do on Sunday?
