Kids playing at the park.As the air gets a bit chillier and the sun sets a bit earlier, the fall season for children’s music gets a bit closer!

We’re looking ahead to a fun-packed next couple of months, with lots of big shows, little shows, and everything in between. Stay tuned to Boston Children’s Music for lots of ticket and CD giveaways throughout September and October!

Check out what’s happening around town this weekend:

  • jeanniemack is back! All of us jeanniemack fans have been missing her so much over the summer. She’ll be playing her regular gig at Finagle-a-Bagel in Cambridge on Saturday at 10am!
  • The Toe Jam Puppet Band will be the Autumn Craft Fair in Berkley at 10am on Saturday.
  • Maria Sangiolo will be celebrating 10 years of making music at Club Passim in Harvard Square at 10:30am on Saturday. She’s also got a new CD in the works, so maybe you’ll catch a new song or two!
  • There are two free shows at 11am on Saturday: Jeremy Lyons at Stella Bella Toys in Inman Square and Ed Morgan at the Watertown Library.
  • Mariana Iranzi will be at the Viva la Vinal Festival in Somerville at 12pm on Saturday.

Jeff Jam at the Union Square Farmers’ Market.

  • Jay Mankita will be at the Big H Fair in Hampden at 1pm on Saturday.
  • The Mickey Spain Musical Jamboree will be playing at Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham at 2pm on Saturday. They’re not in town all that often, so catch them while you can!
  • On Sunday, Ben Rudnick & Friends will be playing two shows at Appleton Farms in Ipswich, at 11:30am and 1:30pm. Looks like Sunday will be a great day for apple picking and BR&F!
  • And last but certainly not least, Jeff Jam will be doing a free show at Faneuil Hall from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday. We went out to see Jeff Jam last weekend at the Farmer’s Market in Union Square and had a great time!
